Privacy Policy

How TXLOC collects, uses and protects your information.

Last updated: July 2026

TXLOC (“TXLOC”, “we”, “us” or “our”) provides professional translation, localization, interpretation and related language services. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights you have. It applies to this website and to the services we provide to our clients.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us, including when you request a quote, contact us, subscribe, or apply for a role:

  • Identity and contact details — name, email address, phone number, company and job title.
  • Project information — the content, documents or files you submit for translation or localization, together with instructions, languages and deadlines.
  • Recruitment data — CV/résumé, qualifications and work history when you apply to join our linguist network.
  • Correspondence — messages you send us and records of our communications.

Information we collect automatically when you use the website: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring URLs and similar diagnostic data, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 4).

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Respond to enquiries, prepare quotes and deliver the services you request;
  • Manage projects, communicate with you and provide customer support;
  • Process job applications and manage our linguist network;
  • Operate, secure and improve our website and services;
  • Send service updates and, with your consent, marketing communications;
  • Comply with legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

Where the GDPR applies, our legal bases are: performance of a contract, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and growing our business, and compliance with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal data.

3. Confidentiality of Project Content

Content you submit for translation is treated as strictly confidential. It is accessed only by the vetted linguists and project staff assigned to your work, all of whom are bound by confidentiality and non-disclosure obligations. Files are handled under access controls and are not used for any purpose other than delivering your project.

4. Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies to keep the site secure and functional, to remember your preferences, and — with your consent — to understand usage and support marketing. On your first visit you can choose which categories to allow:

  • Essential — required for security, sessions and core features (always on).
  • Analytics — anonymous usage statistics to help us improve.
  • Marketing — measuring and personalising campaigns.
  • Preferences — remembering choices such as recently viewed pages.

You can change your choices at any time via the “Cookie Preferences” link in the website footer.

5. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as needed to run our business:

  • Linguists and vendors — professional translators and partners bound by confidentiality agreements;
  • Service providers — hosting, email, payment and analytics providers acting on our instructions;
  • Legal and safety — where required by law or to protect our rights;
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.

6. International Transfers

Because we work with native linguists worldwide, your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place (such as standard contractual clauses and confidentiality agreements) to protect your data.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary to provide our services, meet legal and accounting obligations, and resolve disputes. Project files are retained per the applicable project agreement and then securely deleted or anonymised.

8. Data Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, vetting of personnel, confidentiality/NDA agreements and quality processes. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any incident.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. If you are in California, you may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell your data). To exercise any right, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.

11. Third-Party Links

Our website may link to third-party sites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
